Get ready to party with us as The Summit Federal Credit Union Taste of Syracuse presented by TOPS Friendly Markets turns 21!
The Taste is THE kick off event and starts the annual summer festival season in and around Clinton Square.
Taste of Syracuse brings out the most exciting food and music throughout Central New York.
With close over 200,000 visitors at the 2016 festival, the Taste of Syracuse has become CNY's largest and fastest growing food and music festival!
The Taste of Syracuse will have two signature days this year. There will be an “I Love Orange” day on Friday and a “Pink Power” day on Saturday.
The “I Love Orange” day is a collaboration between the event and County Executive Joanie Mahoney. The Taste of Syracuse will host a community celebration of Coach Jim Boeheim on Friday. Various activities will take place throughout the day of Friday and festival goers are encouraged to wear orange to show your support of coach Boeheim. The Summit, TOPS, and other sponsors and vendors will be working with the festival to raise money for the Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation on Friday.
On Saturday, with the help from The Summit Federal Credit Union, the focus will be “Pink Power” to bring attention and support to breast cancer research. The day will start with the breast cancer survivor walk. Festival goers are encouraged to wear pink on Saturday. Select restaurants and food vendors will offer two samples for $1 to those with a pink wristband. A limited number of pink wristbands will be available at The Summit Federal Credit Union tent. Wristbands can be obtained with a minimum donation of $5 to the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund. Other various sponsors and vendors will also be running specials that will raise money for the local charity.
